                                                                                                                   General sale’s conditions

Article 1 – Purpose

The best fosterling will be reserved for our guests. We undertake to personally ensure the reception of visitors with all the desirable attentions to make their stay easy and pleasant.

Article 2 – Stay duration

The customer signing this contract agrees to a fixed period may not under any circumstances claims any right to remain on the premises, unless an agreement is reached between the two parties for the extension of the stay by a specific number of nights.

Article 3 – Contract conclusion and reservation

The reservation becomes effective, firm and definitive as soon as the customer has sent to the owner the deposit amounting to 50% (fifty percent) of the total amount of the price of the stay with a minimum of one night per room reserved.

Stays are guaranteed only by receipt of the deposit.

The deposit is collected upon receipt, it must be paid no later than 3 (three) days from the date of the reservation request.

In the event that the reservation is made by telephone, the accommodations are, as soon as the dates and price of the stay are agreed, blocked on the digital schedules in order to guarantee the accommodation while waiting for the payment of the deposit. In the event that the deposit has not been received within the allotted time, the reservation is not confirmed and, consequently, the accommodation may be released and put back on sale. Prices include all charges, breakfast included, excluding meals booked at the table d'hôte, drinks, additional services, tourist taxes.

Article 4 – Tourist tax

The tourist tax is a local tax that the customer must pay to the owner who then pays it to the Communauté de Communes Interco Normandie Sud Eure. It is calculated (€0.50) per adult (>18 years old) and per night and is not included in the price.

Article 5 – Balance payment

The balance of the stay (accommodation, consumption and additional services not mentioned in this contract) must be paid during the stay, at the latest, upon departure of the guests.

Accepted Methods of payment: bank transfers, cash, french checks, bank cards.

Article 6 – Cancellation by the customer

Any cancellation must be notified by email or telephone and might generate fees retained or collected as follows:

* If the cancellation occurs less than 7 days before the arrival, 100% of the amount of the reservation will be charged and due as a lump sum compensation. (The deposit remains acquired by the owner),

* if the cancellation occurs more that 7 days before the arrival time, 90% of the 1st paiement amount of the initial reservation will be reimbursed. The 10% difference is to cover the bank fees on our charge when booking is finalized on the website. Guest cancellation is not our wish, then we cannot cover the bank fees due to guest personnal decision.

* If the customer does not show up before 8 p.m. on the scheduled arrival day of the contracted stay, this contract becomes null and void and the owner can dispose of his accommodation, rooms and suites. The entire amount of the reservation will be charged and due, as a lump sum compensation,

* In the event of a shortened stay (whatever the cause of the early departure), the price corresponding to the cost of the accommodation remains entirely due to the owner.

* Reservations with Gift-Stay cards are final and cannot be cancelled or postponed. In case of impediment, possibility of being replaced by any person of your choice.

Cancellation insurance: we draw your attention to the fact that no cancellation insurance is included in our rates.


Article 7 – Cancellation by the owner

When before the stay, the owner cancels this stay, he must inform the customer by email or telephone.

The customer will be reimbursed immediately for the paid amounts.

In practice, we have never cancelled booked stays.

Article 8 – Change of room allocation

Without the customer being able to claim any compensation, the owner reserves the right to change the room initially booked by the customer for a room or a suite of the same capacity and comfort or even of superior capacity and comfort.

Article 9 – Arrival – Departure

We thank our guests for arriving on the day agreed on the reservation between 04:00 p.m. and 09:00 p.m. In the event of a late or delayed arrival, we appreciate that the guest notifies Le Clos Saint-Germain (by email or telephone) before 07:00 p.m. if they are not dining at the table d'hôtes and before 06:00 p.m. if they are dining there.

The premises will be vacated before 12:00 p.m.

Dropping off luggage is possible outside of arrival and departure times: please notify us in advance.

Early check-in (the earliest will be 01:00 p.m. as long as the room has been vacated early enough in the morning to let us to clean and tidy it) so that you can go to a ceremony - for instance - in good conditions. Free service to be requested in advance.

An arrival before 01:00 p.m. requires to book and pay the previous night.

Article 10 – Breakfasts

Breakfasts are served between 07:00 and 10:00 in the dining room. A one-hour margin before this time slot is, of course, accepted, upon request of the customer.

Article 11 – Way of live – Use of the premises

In order to guarantee the tranquility of the premises and the guests comfort, respect for a certain way of living is required of all.

In particular, it is requested not to smoke inside the rooms and covered common areas, however smoking in the garden and in green house is permitted.

For hygiene reasons, no meals can be taken in the rooms.

The customer agrees to return the rooms or suites in perfect condition at the end of the stay and to systematically declare, and assume financial responsibility for any damage for which he or she would be responsible.

Cleaning is included in the price of the service. However, certain rules of decency must be respected. Thank you.

Minor children are placed under the supervision and full responsibility of their parents or persons having authority over them both inside the Clos Saint-Germain house and outside in the fully walled garden. We will not accept any liability in the event of loss, theft and / or damage or injury caused to property and / or people on the property, whatever the cause would be.

Article 12 – Additional services

Family / Business meetings – the privatization of the Clos Saint-Germain guest house for family meetings includes access to the common areas (lounges, dining room, garden and terrace), bedrooms and suites, but does not include the access to the kitchen, outbuildings (barns, garage, fruit tree).

Catering is provided by the Clos Saint-Germain. In the event of a privatization, we invite you to contact us for the organization of meals and the development of menus.

For families with small children, we have a travel cot with mattress, high chair, toilet seat, potty, and baby bath.

Article 13 – Capacity

The contract is established for a specific number of people. If the number of guests exceeds this number, the owner is able to refuse additional guests.

No guest is allowed to bring mattresses to accommodate additional people (except for travel cots for family suites, however the total number of people must not exceed the maximum suite capacity).

This refusal can - in no case - be considered as a modification or termination of the contract at the initiative of the owner, so that in the event of the departure of a number of guests greater than those refused, no refund can be considered.

Article 14 – People with reduced mobility

Le Clos Saint-Germain does not have specific facilities for people with reduced mobility. It is an old building: there are two steps between the entrance and the access to the rooms on the ground floor. The accommodations are on the first or second floor, accessible by a staircase. Some doors are narrow. The wheelchairs do not fit through all the doors. Contact me so that we can see your needs together to welcome you in the best conditions.

Article 15 – Animals

Animals (even pets) are not allowed. In the event of a customer leaving due to the refusal of their animal, no refund can be considered.
